Our Services
Since our relaunch in 2021 we have focused in on youth development. See below what services our Youth Initiative is currently offering.
-
The Futures Forward Youth Internship supports youth in creating pathways to healthy futures and college/career success through work-based learning experiences incorporating underage marijuana prevention education. Eligible students earn stipends for participating in training and service projects.
-
Our cafe is youth led and adult supported. It is located at the Common Ground campus and is open Sundays from 9am-1pm. We curate a seasonal menu as well as our base menu of espresso drinks, lemonades and tea. Training is every other Friday at 5pm.
-
We partner with the YPCE department of the city to provide WIOA internships to qualifying high school seniors. The city provides structure and stipends, and we provide work opportunity and mentorship.
-
#SacTownYouthNights events are intended to be youth-led, adult-supported, and in-person, a minimum of three hours’ long, and designed for 30-50 or more youth, ages 12 – 24. This grant program advances the Office of Youth Development’s goal to increase spaces that support belonging, promote community, and connect youth to trusted adult mentors.
